Mach 5
"Mach 5" gives the illusion that the yo-yo is just floating in mid-air with your hands hovering around it. This trick begins just like "Atom Smasher."

This trick starts with a "split bottom" mount. Start by throwing a sleeper and then draping the string over the left index finger. While draping the string over the left index finger, push the yo-yo away from you. This will give it some momentum to swing back towards the right index finger.

The goal is to have the yo-yo swing back towards you, make contact, and hop over the right index finger. Your right index finger should make contact with the string about 2 inches above the yo-yo.

The yo-yo will swing up and over your right index finger and land on the string as shown. This is the "split bottom" mount.

Bring your right hand up and your left hand down.

Pull back the string to begin the first underpass.

Thread the string into the slot of the yo-yo.

You are now setup and ready for the next underpass.

Pull the white string in a downward motion to begin the underpass.

Thread the string into the slot of the yo-yo.

After the string is aligned vertically stop right there.

Pull your hands apart so the string is taut. Don't pull too hard or you'll kill the spin of the yo-yo.

Begin a rotation. This rotation requires both of your hands to revolve around the yo-yo at the same time. The yo-yo stays in it's position.

This is the position after half a rotation. Continue with the rotation.

Continue with the rotaion.

After one full rotation you'll be back where you started with the right hand on top and the left hand on the bottom. You can continue to do more rotations if you want.

Begin to dismount the yo-yo. Bring the left hand up.

You're now in this position.

Remove the right index finger from the white loop of string and bring it up.

Flip the yo-yo off the string and return it to the hand.
