Throwing a Yo-Yo |
The throw is the foundation of any yo-yo trick. It is very important to do it well. Do not under estimate the importance of the throw.
Make a muscle with your arms and bring your hand up to shoulder level. |
Begin the throw. |
Open up the hand to allow the yo-yo to roll off. |
As the yo-yo makes its descent, turn the hand over. |
The hand is now ready for the return. With a slight tug, the yo-yo makes it way back up.
If you want the yo-yo to sleep, don't tug at the string. Instead, when the yo-yo reaches the end of the string, cushion it.
During the throw, most of the power comes from the wrist action. The secret to long sleep times is technique and not just strength.
